  • Launcestonians are obviously a very cautious bunch of people. I guess with liability insurance these days you can't be too careful. Wasn't there an incident where an innocent sunbather got knocked out by a tennis ball? Nasty...

    This is the blurb they have on their web site

    "Cataract Gorge Reserve is arguably the best recreational area in the northern city of Launceston, located only 1.6 km (1 mi) from the city centre"

    They have not seen the signs....

  • the signs are new!!!??? i don't know. i don't live there! i know a whole bunch of people have DIED there.. mostly due to drowning though i might add.. maybe they need a sign that says "no drowning" ?

  • Yeah... I hear the people from that end of the state are a bit weird. Not to mention stunningly good looking and modest.

    All they need at the gorge is one sign by the sound of it "No living allowed"... of course they could just remove that instant death one if they wanted fewer people there...

    (and whats with sunbathing recreation activities?... isn't that what a place like the gorge for!... or do they mean recreational activites WHILE sunbathing... which sounds a bit naughty... and of course... naughty is good ;-) ).

  • Uh, no Rich, I didn't see the 'no taking pictures' sign. That was probably because there was a 'stop looking a signs' sign. Tee hee!!!
